12 Degree Brewing

A visit to Historic Downtown Louisville gives you a true slice of small town America; Twelve Degree is in the heart of it all and adds a touch of Belgium to the scene. They brew Belgian-influenced ales here and offer up a few guest taps on the side. As for a food truck, at Twelve Degree they like to say that it's "parked in the kitchen." (See their menu for pizzas and flatbreads). The name "Twelve Degree" refers to the Belgian scale, used in the early days of Belgian brewing to measure a beer's density (or fermentable sugars, or potential strength). The brewery, which debuted in 2013, resides in a structure that was built in 1893 and used to house something quite different: Temperance Hall.
